The event is the clearest public focus yet on Robinhood Chain, the company's Arbitrum-based Layer 2 for tokenized US securities. No mainnet launch date has been announced.
What Robinhood Chain is
Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum Layer 2 built on Arbitrum's technology stack, designed to give European retail investors on-chain access to US stocks and ETFs, per the Robinhood newsroom. The public testnet launched February 10, 2026.
Robinhood also committed $1 million to the 2026 Arbitrum Open House program to fund builders on the testnet and future mainnet.
ARB rose as on-chain activity diverged
ARB rose 17.1% on the day, climbing from roughly $0.31 to an intraday high of $0.386 before retracing to $0.328, per Yahoo Finance. The token remains about 86% below its all-time high of $2.40, reached in January 2024, per CoinMarketCap.
On-chain activity did not follow the price move. Arbitrum DEX volume was $76.7 million on the day, down from $230.5 million the prior session, per DefiLlama. Arbitrum's total value locked stood at $1.21 billion over the same window, per DefiLlama.
